Colony Acres
Kearney Housing Agency manages 40 Public Housing apartments, known as Colony Acres.
Residents are responsible for their apartment. GHA does maintenance, lawn care and snow removal. Residents are encouraged to plant and maintain flower gardens.
The Tenant Association plans various social activities throughout the year.
Living at Colony Acres is "small town" living at its best! Within walking distance to the post office, a bank, a grocery store and several churches, one just across the street. Friendly neighbors, and a home atmosphere make it a great place to call home!
Rent is based on either 30 percent of the adjusted gross income or a flat rent, whichever is lower.
Flat rents vary depending on the size of the apartment.
